Son Vida sits on the wooded hills west of Palma and has been regarded for decades as the classic villa area of the island’s capital. The residential neighbourhood is loosely developed, heavily green, and clearly separated from the dense urban fabric, even though the centre is only a short drive away.

Generous plots, curved streets, and predominantly detached homes characterise the area. Depending on the slope, views open out over Palma, the bay, the sea, or the surrounding golf courses. Architecture ranges from traditional Mediterranean villas to very pared-back contemporary houses. Older properties are often comprehensively modernised or reinterpreted.

With Golf Son Vida as well as the nearby courses Son Muntaner and Son Quint, the area is closely connected to the sport of golf. Several high-quality hotels and restaurants complement the offering. For schools, shopping, and other services, residents mainly use Palma and the adjoining districts. A car is practically necessary in everyday life.

The access roads and a private security service give Son Vida a controlled, discreet character. At the same time, streets and plots differ significantly in terms of sun exposure, wind, privacy, and traffic. Some locations are open and with far-reaching views; others are more sheltered and more strongly surrounded by mature trees.

The property offering focuses on villas and larger building plots. In addition to views and architecture, comfortable access, level garden areas, orientation, and the quality of the outdoor spaces are decisive. Son Vida is particularly suited to spacious, quiet living close to Palma – less so for a lifestyle that is meant to be organised entirely on foot.
